Richland Public Health encourages local residents to be patient with the vaccination registration process. According to Richland Source, Reed Richmond, of Richland Public Health said last week that there was a glitch in the COVID-19 vaccine registration process. The toll-free number that Local Health Departments were using for registration was overwhelmed with calls causing the phone lines to crash. Richmond said It appears that all the vaccine doses have been scheduled for this week. But that last week was not the only week that seniors age 80 and older can get their vaccine. Although age 75 and older group is open for this week, anyone 80+ is included in that group. He asked for folks to please be patient.
