Pay raises for Mansfield elected officials that were approved in 2019, have now been implemented, according to RichlandSource.com.
The original plan was for the raises to start in 2022, but after an outside legal opinion, will now go into effect for the mayor, law and finance director and all members of city council.
Back in 2009, Mansfield had a pay freeze when the city when into fiscal emergency and still kept it in place in 2014, when Mansfield came out of fiscal emergency.
