The State Highway Patrol is reporting there were 10 fatalities on Ohio roadways over the New Year's holiday. Last year, there were only 4 fatal crashes during the same time period.
This year, Ohio's New Year's holiday was from Dec. 31st - January 3rd and 4 of the 10 fatal crashes were OVI related. Troopers made over 300 arrests for OVI during the four day period. Also, statewide there was 478 seat belt and 115 distracted driving citations.
