Longtime Ashland County Sheriff deputy Carl Richert has retired after 40 years of service. Ashland County Sheriff Wayne Risner said that Richert has touched so many lines over the years and has been the definition of a public servant. Risner said they would love to hold a celebration for Richert, but won't be able to do so due to COVID-19.
