Residents in the City of Mansfield will see water rates rise 10% beginning in January and 15% in 2022.
City Council President Cliff Mears said there is an amendment in the bill to reward those who use less than 1,500 gallons a month, who will only see their rate go up 3%.
This is the first time in 15 years that Mansfield has increased its water rates, which is a mandate from the EPA.
