7 demolitions were recently approved by Mansfield City Council. Council President Cliff Mears said that 9 were given the go ahead to be knocked down last month in August, which brings the total to be demolished this year in the city to 34.
Mears said one of the goals of council is to cleaning up blighted properties in the city.
The properties being demolished are located on Lexington Ave, Chestnut St., Mansfield Ave. North Benton St., Glenn Ave and Dewy Ave.
There were 50 total demolitions in Mansfield last year in 2019.
