A former Clerk for the Mt. Vernon Municipal Courts has been indicted on 8 felony counts.
RichlandSource.com reports, this week Stephanie Hardman was indicted by the Knox County Grand Jury on charges of theft in office, money laundering, tampering with records and telecommunications fraud.
This all comes after an investigation by the Ohio Auditor's Office , which showed more than $7,000 was missing from the Municipal Clerk's office.
Hardman was terminated in early February and is due in court next week, on Sept. 2nd.
