Missy Houghton has been promoted by the Richland County Commissioners to assistant Dog Warden.
Houghton is the former director of the Richland County Humane Society and had been working part time for the dog warden's office as a deputy for nearly a year.
RichlandSource.com reports current Dog Warden, Dane Howard, has been working in a part time role for the last few months, which saw the commissioners feel the need to promote Houghton into the role of assistant Dog Warden.
