A former Mansfield Highway Patrol Trooper has been cleared of all charges.
RichlandSource.com reports, 32 year old Preston Brooks was indicted back in December for theft of drugs and tampering with evidence, but was found not guilty following a 3 day trial last week.
Brooks was originally charged with felonies after an investigation into missing drugs after a traffic stop in November, which later saw him terminated. After being cleared of all charges, his lawyer said he is thankful and ready to move on.
