A resident is calling on the Ashland County Commissioners and Ashland County Fair Board to ban the display and sale of merchandise portraying the confederate flag at the Ashland County Fair, which runs in late September.
The resident, as of Wednesday evening had nearly 600 signatures on the petition, which Ashland County Fair Manager Steve Englet said, will be brought to the Fair board at the earliest time possible.
RichlandSource.com reports both the Wayne and Medina County Fairs have banned the sale or display of the confederate flag.
