New Rules As Baseball Looks To Play During Pandemic

(Cincinnati, OH) -- The Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians are preparing to deal with a new set of safety guidelines as they look to start a pandemic shortened 2020 season. Details revealed show players will have to bring their own batting rings, pine tar, and rosin bags to the plate or mound while armor, hats, sunglasses, and other gear can no longer be handed to a coach at the end of an inning. Showering at the ballpark is discouraged and spitting is prohibited along with smokeless tobacco, licking fingers, high-fives, fighting, fist bumps, and hugs. Teams will also play with a universal DH and are expected to follow the Minor Leagues by putting a runner on second to start extra innings.
