Ashland High School has named a new girls basketball coach and it's a familiar name.
Renee Stimpert, a 2016 Crestview graduate and played recently for Ashland University, was announced late last week at the new coach of the Lady Arrows.
RichlandSource.com reports, Stimpert takes the job just a couple months after playing her final game for AU, who she help lead to the national title in 2017.
Stimpert, who went 133-4 during her career at AU, will teach social studies in the Ashland Schools and says she is ready for the challenge to rebuild the Ashland program.
