The Ohio National Guard's next assignment during the COVID-19 pandemic will be testing nursing home staff and residents. Governor Mike DeWine says the Congregate Care Unified Response Teams will have medically trained staff who will conduct the tests over several weeks. The facilities that need the testing the most will be tested first. Development centers owned by the state will be included in this effort.
