The Mansfield Division of Police responded to 24 Helen Ave Apartment #1 on January 3, 2020 at approximately 8:57 PM after receiving a call in reference to a person being shot.
Upon arrival, patrol officers located a black male shot just inside the doorway of apartment #1 the male age twenty was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. Witnesses at the scene advised officers that they had heard one shot and two males flee from the area. The males were later located and interviewed by detectives. No arrests have been made at this time. A search warrant was served at 24 Helen Ave Apartment #1 and certain evidence was collected from the apartment and surrounding the building.
