On October 27, 2019 at 9:22 PM Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Bucyrus Township Volunteer Fire Department and Portsmouth Ambulance Service was dispatched to a one vehicle injury crash on SR 4 North of the intersection of SR 4 and Scioto Chapel Road. It was reported that a vehicle had flipped and struck a power pole. Upon Deputies arrival they discovered a red in color 2005 Dodge Neon off the West side of the roadway with severe damage and no power poles were struck or damaged. The registered owner of the vehicle and it’s driver were later identified as twenty three year old Katelyn L. Sutter from Marion, Ohio. Sutter was transported by the ambulance service for minor injuries to the Bucyrus Community Hospital where she was treated and released. Oceola Garage towed the vehicle from the scene and alcohol or drug use is not suspected and Sutter told Deputies that she was reaching for something in her vehicle prior to the crash. Sutter was issued a traffic citation for failure to control.
