Former Ashland University men's basketball coach and athletic director Robert Stokes has passed away at the age of 88. Stokes was the Eagles' men's basketball coach for seven seasons from 1958-65, and then athletic director from 1970 to 1975.
Stokes was inducted into the Ashland University Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Ashland County Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
