In Tuesday's Primary Election, voter turnout in Richland County was light at 11%.
City Councilman Don Bryant defeated Victoria Norris-Diez on the Democratic side for mayor of Mansfield. Bryant got 55% of the vote and will face current Mansfield mayor Tim Theaker in November.
Mansfield's Safety Tax Renewal, which makes up roughly 30% of the Mansfield Police and Fire department's budget, did pass with over 68% saying Yes.
Cass, Jackson and Plymouth Township's levies all passed on Tuesday.
However, the village of Plymouth road maintenance tax levy failed, with 72% saying no.
