A 27 year old Ashland man, who pled guilty to attempted murder back in February, was sentenced to 8 years in prison Monday in Ashland County Court. RichlandSource.com reports Ryan Sackett allegedly stabbed a man 20 times back on June 2nd, along with also stabbing a woman. Due to a change in Ohio law, Sackett will be the first Ashland County convicted felon to have register as a violent offender, when he is released from prison.
