OhioHealth to Build $5-Million Medical Building in Lexington

OhioHealth announced today it will expand its presence in Lexington, Ohio, by recently purchasing 8.50 acres in Lexington, Ohio, to build a new $5-million medical office building. The new 10,000-square-foot facility will be located on State Route 42 near Lakewood Road.

This new building will provide much needed space for the OhioHealth Physician Group Primary Care practice, with Brandon Crouch, MD, Lisa Patterson, NP, and Elizabeth Miller, NP, which is currently located at 375 West Main Street in Lexington. The practice is outgrowing its current space. To better serve the needs of the Lexington and surrounding community, the practice will relocate to the new facility when it opens late fall. To improve convenience for patients, the new medical office building will include new services, such as outpatient lab and x-ray. The facility size also allows for future growth.

“The new facility will accommodate more providers and services in order to improve accessibility for patients,” said Vinson Yates, president of OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and OhioHealth Shelby Hospital. “The current location has served the community for over 20 years. While we’re excited about the new facility, we’re even happier about continuing to make a difference through our physicians and services in order to improve the health of those we serve. This investment shows our continued commitment to Lexington and the surrounding communities for many years to come.”

In addition to providing primary care to the Lexington community, OhioHealth is proud to serve as the official healthcare provider of the Lexington Minutemen and sponsor the Lexington Blueberry Festival. Beginning in 2019, OhioHealth will continue their longtime support of the festival by becoming the presenting sponsor.

OhioHealth is committed to improving health in the communities it serves. In the last 5 years, OhioHealth has invested in more than $180 million capital improvements in Richland and Ashland counties.
