Ashland looking into nearly $7 million in bonds to fund projects

Ashland City Council is looking into issuing nearly $7 million in bonds to fund three projects, according to RichlandSource.com.The money would be used to extend water and sewer lines on US 250, build the city’s second fire station at Mifflin and US 42, along with the repainting of the water tower at Mifflin and Claremont Avenues.Council is expected to vote on the matter March 19th.

Ashland Mayor Matt Miller says $146,000 would come from the general fund each year to pay back the bond.
