A former Assistant Principal with the Mansfield City Schools has been found to have been wrongfully terminated, according to RichlandSource.com. Fuzzie Davis was placed on paid administrative leave back in January of 2018 and later terminated, for failing to report a teacher, who made a sexually explicit comment to a student. A Referee made the ruling and Davis’ lawyer argues that she did not witness the incident and was not properly trained with mandatory reporting. The Ohio Code says the mandatory reporting is for a child under 18 years old and the student in the incident was born in 1998, which meant they were not under 18 for a majority of the year. Davis and her lawyer are now waiting to see if the school board accepts the ruling from the Referee.
