Last fall, University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center donated 4.71 acres of land on the corner of U.S. 42 and Mifflin Ave, to build a second fire station in Ashland. RichlandSource.com reports, the architect’s on the project are projecting the total cost around $2.7 million, but could be as high as $3 million. Work could get underway sometime in 2020 once the project officially gets the green light. Ashland Mayor Matt Miller said it is not yet a done deal, based on this week is the first that council has seen the numbers attached to the project. The land is valued at over $370,000 and the fire station must be built in the next 5 years.
