Lexington School District Passes Bond Issue

Voters in the Lexington school district passed their bond issue Tuesday, while Shelby voters said no to its Pre K through 8th grade building.  Lexington won with 57% of the vote to constructing  two new building. Shelby voters had 54% say no and saw its bond issue fail for the 3rd time. The two new buildings for Lexington would replace the current 5 buildings, which the average age is 69 years old.  The State of Ohio will pay 53% of the cost, which will cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $26 a month or $318 per year.
