Mansfield Police are investigating an incident, where a woman shot a man on South Adams Street. Lieutenant Rob Skropits said the incident took place Sunday afternoon around 1:30 pm at 141 South Adams, when a man broke into a woman’s house by taking out the air conditioner and stepping on the gas meter to get inside. The woman had previously been in a relationship with the man and there are several reports of the man coming over unwarranted. The woman told him to leave and wound up shooting him in the stomach, when he refused to leave. The man fled and was found about a block away. He was taken to the hospital, but his condition is unknown.
