Hillsdale Surveys Community about Arming Staff and New School

Hillsdale Schools recently surveyed community members about two issues: Arming its staff and using tax revenue from the Rover pipeline to build a new school. RichlandSource.com reports, Superintendent Steve Dickerson said no decision has been made on arming its staff, but 82% were in favor of it. 91% of those responding said “Yes” that the district is in need of new facilities and should move forward once it hears from the Ohio Department of Taxation in October. The exact amount of money the district will receive from the Rover pipeline is not yet known.  There is about 20 miles of pipeline that run through the Hillsdale School district. Dickerson says the district will leave the surveys up on the schools website throughout the summer and wait from a decision from the board of education.
