Ashland Police honored several of its officers in a ceremony held on Wednesday. Among those recognized were, Detective Curt Dorsey, Sgt. Jim Cox and Lt. Tim Shreffler, who responded to the 911 call in the arrest of serial killer Shawn Grate. Detective Kim Mager and Caption Dave Lay were honored for helping with the investigation into the Grate case. Ashland Police also named Kody Hying as the officer of the year and recognized Detective Brian Evans for his investigative work into drug overdose cases.
