Board members of the Ashland County Land Bank are discussing taking 5% of the money the county collects from delinquent real estate taxes and penalties. RichlandSource.com reports, the Land Bank is going over their plan with Ashland County officials about the use of the money, which will be used as seed money to apply for grants. Ashland mayor Matt Miller hopes the Land Bank will look into getting a grant to clean up the former Eagle Gas Station property on Claremont Avenue, which was referred to as a high profile property.
