Richland County Commissioner, Tony Vero, is reporting that cell service in the Lucas area is active.
Vero shared he received a notice from Verizon officials on Monday that the site is active. The statement went on to say there is the possibility of brief disruptions during the maintenance window, as they bring additional services. The expectation, right now, is for that to be minimal. The previous update was for service to being sometime in August, so a few weeks ahead of schedule.
