Ontario Schools Vote To End Mask Mandate Friday

Beginning Friday, masks are no longer required in the Ontario Local Schools, according to RichlandSource.com.

This news comes after the board of education voted 4 to 1 to change the policy that had been in place since September 1st. One board member felt they should keep the mask mandate in place through Christmas, so parents concerned about COVID-19 could get their children vaccinated.

Ontario Superintendent Lisa Carmichael said she would not hesitate to reinstate masks if cases were to rise again.
