COVID-19 Vaccine Update: Richland County Still Below State Average At 39%

Even though cases are at their lowest levels in more than a year, there is still a big push to get more people vaccinated against COVID-19,

This news comes as the Delta variant set to becomes the most common in the US. The Delta variant is more contagious that the original coronavirus strain.

Richland County right now has only 39% of its 12 and over population vaccinated. Those numbers are below the state average. According to the CDC,95% of all current COVID-19 hospitalizations are among unvaccinated individuals.

In Ashland County – 33% is vaccinated, while Crawford County is at 36%
