Mansfield’s Safety forces are set to receive two grants.
The Mansfield Fire Department has been awarded a $2,000 grant to purchase fire investigation equipment, which is used to determine the cause of fires.
The Mansfield Police Department has an $8,500 grant on the way for the purchase of 5 body armor vests. The city has to come up with a 20% matching grant. Total cost to Mansfield is $2,800, which is already in the budget.
