Shelby Reports 20 New COVID-19 Cases In Last 72 Hours

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting COVID-19 activity over the past 72 hours with 20 new cases and 18 recovered cases. The Department has documented a total of 187 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that cumulative number, 143 individuals have attained recovered/resolved status as of this report. The Department is currently monitoring 43 active cases, with 42 individuals self-isolating in home quarantine and 1 individual hospitalized. There has been 1 COVID-19 death documented within the City of Shelby.

Citizens are strongly urged to observe all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: frequent hand washing, sanitization, physical/social distancing, and the wearing of face coverings.
