Mansfield City Councilman Alomar Davenport, along with local groups, are set to meet next week with the Mansfield Administration to discuss Police and community relations.
RichlandSource.com reports, the meeting is set for Thursday, June 18th, with the goal according to Davenport, to form a code of conduct that will help guide interactions between police and community members.
Davenport said, this is a perfect time for Mansfield to lead the charge on police and community relations.
Last fall, Mansfield Police Chief Keith Porch made a promise, his officers would be held accountable, saying "Everybody is an adult and knows right from wrong, everybody knows the policies and procedures of this department. "
