Lexington Mayor Honored At Village Council Meeting

Lexington Mayor Eugene Parkison was honored at Monday night’s Village Council meeting by having the current Lexington municipal building renamed “Mayor Eugene R. Parkison Village Hall.” According to richalandsource.com, Parkinson is ending his 34 years as mayor of the Village of Lexington. Parkinson was also honored by Ohio Governor Mike Dewine, Lt. Governor John Husted and President of the Ohio Senate Larry Obhhoff. The U.S. House of Representatives also recognized Parkison’s service to the community. Parkinson was defeated by challenger Brian White by 81 votes.
